Terms of Use

Welcome to Syncscribe. These terms explain the rules that apply when you use the App and the Syncscribe Pro auto-renewable subscription. By using the App or subscribing to Syncscribe Pro, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

1. Service

Syncscribe provides local audio/video transcription, subtitle editing, subtitle export, batch processing, and video export with burned-in subtitles. Some advanced features may require Syncscribe Pro.

3. Legacy Paid App Users

If you paid to download Syncscribe from the App Store before the subscription model launched, we will continue to retain the core Pro feature access associated with the version you purchased. The App verifies eligibility using Apple StoreKit app-level transaction information, including the original purchase date. Eligible legacy users do not need to subscribe again to keep using those features.

4. App Store License

When you download and use the App through the Apple App Store, the App license is governed by Apple's Standard End User License Agreement (Standard EULA), unless we provide a custom EULA in App Store Connect. These Terms supplement the Standard EULA by describing Syncscribe services, subscription benefits, and usage rules.

5. License

As long as you comply with these Terms and the applicable EULA, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the App on your device. You may not reverse engineer, crack, bypass paid limits, copy, distribute, or sell the App or its features in an unauthorized way.

6. User Content and Responsibility

You or the relevant rights holders retain ownership of the audio, video, subtitle, and text content that you import, transcribe, edit, or export. You are responsible for ensuring that you have the rights needed to process that content and for your use of the App's outputs.

7. On-Device Processing and Privacy

The App's core transcription, editing, and export workflows run on your device. For details about data handling, permissions, and purchase status, please read our Privacy Policy.

8. Availability and Changes

We may update, change, or discontinue some features to improve the App, fix issues, or meet platform requirements. We make reasonable efforts to keep the App stable, but we do not guarantee that it will always be available or error-free on every device, system version, file format, or use case.

If we change the scope of Syncscribe Pro features, we will try to explain the change in the App or on this page. Local files you have exported will not be deleted or uploaded by us because of a subscription status change.

9. Disclaimer

The App is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. Transcription, translation, subtitle timing, and video processing results may be affected by audio quality, accents, noise, file encoding, and system environment. Please review outputs before publishing or using them commercially.

10. Updates to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Significant changes will be announced in the App or on this page. Continued use of the App means you accept the updated Terms.
